I enjoyed the book and found it informative. It would be of interest to any Iowa history buffs. I'm recommending it to some friends who fit that description.In my opinion its greatest potential is optional reading for high school students of Iowa history. The school library could stock a couple of copies. The history teacher could show it to students and suggest reading it if they want to put human faces to the events they're studying. I'll lend my copy to the local high school history teacher and suggest this idea. If anyone knows a way to suggest it to history teachers in ALL Iowa schools, that'd be super.
